Successes For White City Runners At Mablethorpe
Added 23 Sep 06 19:00 Amongst the club runners who went to Mablethorpe on 10th September were two members - Tony Burgin and Stella Dinsdale - who had a particularly successful day. Here is an excerpt from the article that went to the Hull Daily Mail.
White City Road Running Club had a successful day in first Mablethorpe Road Races held on Sunday 10th September. In the 10 kilometre event Tony Burgin was the overall winner of the race with a time of 38mins 16secs. The club also won the team event in the 10k with Tony Burgin finishing 1st, Mike Craig 12th and Phil Robinson 14th. Stella Dinsdale also had a successful run in the marathon. She completed the race in 4hours 12minutes and in doing so achieved a qualifying time for her age group for next years London Marathon.
Stella also did well on 2nd July 2006 in the Withernsea 5-Mile Fun Run when she was the second lady finisher in 38 minutes 8 seconds. For achieving second place she received a commemorative medal.
Added 28 Jan 06 13:20 The Annual General Meeting was held on 25th January and the 2005 trophy winners received their awards.
The club championship for the men was won by Tony Burgin and the winner of the ladies competition was Joanna Jennings. Joanna was also awarded Club Runner Of The Year.

Due to the sale of Ideal Standard Sports and Social Club to Hull City AFC, White City (Hull) R.R.C. have moved from this venue and have relocated at Hull and East Riding Sports Club in Chanterlands Avenue. This took effect from Monday 14th November 2005.
